Join us as we welcome Michael Ricks, District Director of the U.S. Small Business Administration; Brenda Guess, Director of Business Incentive Services at Louisiana Economic Development; and Frank Favaloro, Manager of Business Incentive Services at Louisiana Economic Development.
Our speakers will be discussing how to run a successful business and what resources are avaliable to business owners at both a state and national level.
The St. Bernard Chamber of Commerce and the St. Bernard Economic Development Foundation have released information about “Grow St. Bernard,” a new, joint program developed to support St. Bernard Parish’s increasing base of locally owned businesses, startups, and entrepreneurs. The organizations identified a need to provide new and evolving businesses with information necessary to start and grow business in the current market.
Grow St. Bernard is a six-part seminar series that provides professional insight on a variety of topics in the form of presentations, panels, and workshops. Notable guest speakers will provide business owners and professionals with knowledge of current trends and best practices for growing their companies with limited resources and staffing.
Participation is open to all individuals regardless of location or occupation. The program encourages business owners and professionals to turn information into action; and participants benefit from learning and sharing with a cohort of small businesses.
Tuition for the program is $50 and includes access to the seminars and a special recognition of all businesses that complete the program. All seminars will take place on Tuesdays from 8:00am-10:00am with locations TBD. Enrollment for the 2017 cohort is now open and the first seminar is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, April 4. Individuals interested in participating are encouraged to visit http://www.sbedf.org/projects/grow-st-bernard for the full schedule and contact information.
