The St. Bernard Chamber of Commerce is excited to welcome cyclists from across the country to the 5th Annual Tour da Parish bike ride on November 2, 2019 from 7:00am-12:00pm at Los Isleños Museum and Historic Village.
This non-competitive bike ride offers cyclists beautiful views of St. Bernard Parish, from Bayou Roadto the End of the World, from Hopedale Marina to Shell Beach. Riders can select from a 10-mile, 16-mile, 35-mile, or 59-mile route. The 10-mile route goes 5 miles from Los Isleños down Bayou Road and back. The 16-mile route takes cyclists to the End of the World in Delacroix, where a shuttle bus waits to drive them back. Participants on the 35-mile route will continue on after reaching Delacroix, back up through the scenic byways they just traversed with a jaunt up Highway 46 for their return. Those riding the 59-mile route will head out to Yscloskey at the Hwy. 46 turnoff and travel down to Hopedale Marina and then to Shell Beach and the Katrina Memorial before turning back towards the finish line.
Following their ride, participants and their guests are invited to gather back at Los Isleños for the End of the World Finish Festival, with music by DJ Rockin’ Rob, beer from Southern Eagle Distributing, snacks from Chee-Wees, fruit from AJ’s Produce, jambalaya, and family fun. Clements PT will be on hand with post-ride ice packs.
Riders that register by October 15 will be guaranteed a ride t-shirt, swag bag and, new this year, the Finish Fish, a 3-D printed award from Nunez Community College.
